As we reach the end of another academic year, it is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on all that has been achieved at Crawshaw Academy and to thank you for your continued support, encouragement and partnership. This year has been filled with success, growth and memorable moments. Our students have demonstrated resilience, determination and ambition in their learning, embracing challenges and making excellent progress both inside and outside the classroom.

As another Half Term comes to an end, we are exceptionally proud of the efforts our Year 11 students have put in to their GCSE exams. Other year groups have also seen some really positive steps forward with students embarking on the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Year 7 Residential and Reading Projects as well as a Key Stage 3 Employer Engagement Careers Event. We are very proud of the opportunities beyond the classroom we are able to provide for our students and I am grateful for my team of colleagues who consistently go above and beyond to provide for our students.

At Crawshaw Academy we believe that good health and wellbeing is essential for successful learning and happy lives for children and young people.

At Crawshaw Academy, we work hard to try and make what we do as relevant as possible to the world of work. Within lessons teachers consciously attempt to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding that employers want.

We are the academy’s Parent Teacher Association. We want to help promote Crawshaw Academy within the local area and to demonstrate the considerable talents of our young people.
RESPECT
Understanding and appreciating the worth of oneself, others, and the environment, fostering a culture of mutual respect.
INTEGRITY
To act with honesty and honour without compromising the truth, promoting ethical behaviour in and out of the classroom. This is how we behave when no one is watching.
DETERMINATION
A positive emotional feeling that promotes striving towards a difficult goal despite the challenges that this may involve.
